Jay & Davies Crane Hire was founded in 1972 by Les Davies, with a 7 1/2 ton Coles strut jib crane. From those early days to the present we provide a professional reliable service. Cranes are supplied Under CPA Conditions for both normal crane hire and a full Contract Lifting Service, eliminating the need for our clients to take the responsibility for preparing a Method Statement and Risk Assessment.

We manage and supervise the lifting operation. Our site inspectors can assess your cranage requirements and formulate a comprehensive Method Statement and Risk Assessment together with Crane Lifting Studies, Plan View, Side Elevation, Weights and Radius Lifting Chart.

We provide an appointed person to supervise the lifting operations, banksman, slingers and full insurance including 10 million Pounds Public Liability. We are also experienced with, and have regular contact with local authorities for road closures.
